I had a better experience this time than in the past, when the workmen i was referred to did not match the work i needed done. Previously I wanted to install handrails in an interior stairwell and I was sent contact information for iron yard gates

This place is a joke. I tried to do multiple projects the "prod" never call back. When I reached out to Angie's they gave me a BS excuse of pro's being busy and I should call them but they still don't reply. If I wanted to do all the freaking work I wouldn't have downloaded the app. It is not worth all the HYPE they lead us to believe it is. I will NEVER RECOMMEND ANGIE'S to anyone!

Beware, you will be charged 60+ percent more than the pro will be making. If you are paying for a 1000 dollar job, expect a 400 job to be done. For furniture. Your typical payment will be 90 dollars, the pro will only receive 34. Customer service is laughable. And the only positive reviews this service has are from the pros, get their personal info and work with them directly! You will save money and the pro will earn more! Greedy company causing havoc on the home improvement market.

Last week I could find the service I needed. This week I can't. Last week the website sent quote requests to companies I didn't want. I had to figure out on my own how to find other companies that provide the same service and never heard back from them. I'm guessing Angie (used to be Angie's List) got bought out by a bigger company that went on to ruin the business model.

Worst idiot who thought he was a “handyman “
Angi provided an individual who was unskilled, un-tooled, and totally unprepared to do the assigned work. I would have been better off hiring my 96 year old mother in law. He realized he was in over his head, picked up his tool, and just left - leaving an absolute mess behind fo me to clean.. I gave one star because I could not provide a ZERO……. once bit, twice shy… Never again….

The list of projects and my list pros never functions correctly and always has an error. I wish this app worked better. I could use it.

Do not use angi for plumbing!!!!
I used angi to get water shutoff under my sink replaced. When the guy got there he told me he didn't usually do plumbing, I checked and the service requested was for fixtures and pipes repair or replace. He proceeded to do the work, after a few hours the hot water stopped working in my entire condo unit and I had to call a plumber after hours and paid $700 to get it fixed. I called and they wouldn't reimburse me for the charge and said they would refund me half the charge (approx 150 bucks) I didn't know what else to do so I just hung up. To this day I've never received the 50% refund and it's been almost a year. I called back and she said there is nothing to do and I asked to speak to someone else and she asked for my number to callback and while I was giving it to her she hung up on me. At this point I give up because I waited 15 minutes to get onto the help line.
