Awful app update. They changed everything and it's all for the worse. I just had money disappear from my balance with no other info. There's no longer a place to see recent deposits or withdrawals/charges. Had to go through all of my auto pay accounts (on other apps) to figure out what it might have been. This is how not to run a bank. This is ridiculous.

The app is even slower it appears, after this update. Everything is so delayed. There is no search option to search transactions for specific transactions. The app is actually more confusing than helpful. I'm starting to wonder if I made the right decision switching to Axos. I also don't get my DD two days in advance. I either get them the day of or only a few hours before they would usually hit my account.

App has much improved, depositing checks feels reliable, and navigation is smooth. UPDATE: I'm afraid the app overhaul has gone in the wrong direction. While it looks like there is more to do now, things that I am consistently using the app for (like heck depositing) are now buried on navigation and the app is noticeably slower and less responsive. What's worse is that depositing check is now broken and requires a workaround.

With the new app the "to" field to transfer money between accounts doesn't react at all/can't select it. I keep having to uninstall the entire app to transfer money in my browser.

Updated app has given us trouble paying bills and transferring funds. This, combined with the lack of the tap option on the debit card, is causing us to consider other banks after 8 years here.

STAY AWAY

The worst! Started when they were Wisebayan and then converted to Axos bank. The transition was crap and that should have been a hard tell sign Of things to come. Between an app that serves no function except bring you headaches and nonsense to you trying to transfer your money out and EVEN AFTER you transferred your money out, they're still trading with it for almost another week! It was a hassle to get a rep on the line and when I did, one said OH WELL about my money being stuck, another CLICKED THE PHONE ON ME and since Wednesday, I'm STILL WAITING for a supervisor to reach back out. There are so many other banking and portfolio apps that are wayyyyyy better than this one. Sometimes being loyal, DOES NOT PAY OFF.

Update 2023: [previously 3 star] The new app redesign is a MAJOR step in the wrong direction. It went from previously getting progressively better to, now, suddenly unusable. The new app is SO BAD, it has forced us to start searching for a new bank. We are considering SoFi, Current, Chime or Simple. Updated 2022: [previously 1 star] this app has gotten progressively better over the last 2 years. It is still quite slow. With a focus on cold launch speed and performance, this could be a solid app

Since the updated UI has rolled out, the app is quite literally unusable. It freezes constantly for minutes at a time whenever trying to do anything, including transfers which is arguably the most important use case for a mobile banking app. Why should I do business with a bank in 2023 when I can't use their mobile app?
